Puffs: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years At A Certain School Of Magic And Magic

thecoreissuenewspa

Last weekend, Burris Laboratory School and The Indiana Academy presented their fall play, Puffs! This amusing stage production, penned by Matt Cox, offered a unique and humorous perspective on the lives of three students navigating the challenges and adventures of their seven years at a magical school. The play combined themes of friendship and resilience with the comedic trials of growing up in a whimsical world filled with wizards, enchanting spells, and moments sure to be remembered. The showings of Puffs! took place on the evenings of November 1st and November 2nd with three total performances.

Among the standout performers representing The Academy were our students: Henry Godfrey playing the lead, Wayne Hopkins and Chloe Chamness playing the second lead, Megan Jones. The play also showcased two of our seniors: Serena Richards as Xavia Jones and Ensemble, and Quinn Sabie as Ernie Mac, Bippy, and Ensemble. Other Academy students featured were Lucy Blackmer as The Narrator, Lorelei Haley as Harry, Eva Lopatniuk-Lopez as Sally Perks and Ensemble, and Savannah Scott as Professor Mc. G and Ensemble.

The effort and collaborative spirit displayed by the students and faculty who brought Puffs! to the Burris stage made the event not only a triumph but also a delightful experience for everyone who attended. Congratulations to our talented students and the gifted production team for making this a resounding success!
